This morning I woke up from a dream where for some reason I had live mice in my mouth... I assume the dream-fairy meant that one for one of the cats, - either that or one of the cats was telepathetically messing with my subconscious... or something... anyways... woke up with a desperate urge to brush my teef.
Now I got that out of the way I can get to the more serious matters. My little Kitty is still ill, and will not recover.
We've gone from total misery and vomits and cat-hospital every 3'rd day where they put her on drip...
or she's stable at a state where she doesn't really eat... which isn't a stable state..
but she's fairly OK.. for a dying cat.
I check every day that she's eating, purring and playing...
as long as she does all three we're not going back to the stinky place for that last injection.
And she does amazingly behave fairly happy... sometimes at least:
Urracá is locked out of the bedroom and not entirely happy with that, but he does what he can to help.
Today for instance, he bravely fought this lone, wounded toilet paper roll.
There's (apparently) nothing as dangerous as a TP-roll when it's wounded and away from it's herd and territory, but Urracá fearlessly wrestled it to the ground and gave it what it deserved.
and then Panemma came to visit me afterwards.
That was SO nice.
I took a lot of pictures, and will post them as I get them sorted.
There were of course 3 weeks worth of work waiting for me when I got back,
but on the other hand everybody else are leaving for their vacations now,
so I have peace and quiet to get stuff done.
The weather is fantastic in Denmark.
Sunnier than I have ever seen.
Now to the travel pictures:
Urraca helped me pack before I left Denmark
and Mitzi helped me unpack later the same day in Panama.
I feel so guilty for having separated them when I left Panama and took Urraca along..
these two were such a cute couple....
Mitzi didn't complain though, she was happy to see me.
Panemma sent me this link today...
and if you're of the feline persuasion, you'd better follow the link to her blog for a very instructive video on 'what to do if your bed moves'!
so you'll have to make do with some partial tiger pictures.
330-370 adult Siberian or Amur tigers left in the wild.
In nature they would never live together with the female and cubs.
The title of the post, Amba
is what natives call them in the mountains where they belong in the Sikhote-Alin in far eastern Siberia.
They used to be revered as gods, the force and spirit of nature.
If it wasn't for Dancing bear and his birthday calculator thingy.... I would have forgotten that today it's Urracá's birfday - or at least it's his found-day. He was found in the street, and still had his umbilical cord - so it can't be many days off his real birthday. He's 4 years old today.
I got him three weeks later, and fell in love... still am... happy birthday Urracá
So, I got back from my caturday shopping and just dumped the bags on the kitchen table - I had to use the loo.... then eat something, then I sat down to check mail....
Urracá was crying about something somewhere in the house (in his deep manly voice) so I called him and he came in telling me something very excited and jumped up on my lap and bonked his head against mine... and that was when a whiff of smoked fish reached my nose....
Smoked fish? - Not cat smell? - Smoked fish?
- That’s strange, - Reminds me, I just bought some smoked mackerel at the shop.
Oh, NO! I left it out on the table!!!! aarrgh!
So I ran into the kitchen... frenetically searching for the fish.. Urracá had dragged it off on the floor, scratched the plastic to shreds and nommed... just a tiny little bit of the fish....
Sigh... my own stupid fault. Both cats ran off to hide when they saw me looking at the nommed fish with GUILT written all over their faces...
Oh, great! and now he’s making barfing noises.... but not really getting round to actually barfing it up again.
Just an omen of joys to come.

Mmmmm... I made the two spiciest kinds this year
- really because the brown ones are my mothers favorites,
but then we never had time to bake them while I was over there,
so I took the dough with me home and made some of them today.
Oh, right... work.. where was I...
