The general idea with this blog is to stay in touch with my good old friends all over the world, but everybody's welcome here. There's always tea in the pot and there's a comfy chair somewhere - if I can get the cats and random piles of stuff off it, .. Main characters on this blog other than me are my crazy cats Kitty and Urracá.  The banner is Kitty's paws under the door. She disapproves of closed doors.

I'm a an evolutionary biologist. I've had breast cancer and been rethinking my priorities...  so now I've got a fabulous job as a data manager in dept of social medicine. As for the cancer, no recurrence for four years.. knock on wood...

I love new projects, but get fed up before finishing many of them... so I always have PILES of unfinished project-bits lying around... I hope blogging is not going to end up in the piles of forgotten projects. Gardening is one of my latest projects... and the perfection of chaosi (I think that's plural of chaos.)

I lived 5 years in Switzerland (speaking French) and 5 years in Panama (speaking Spanish)... and otherwise in Denmark (Danish)...
